Birthday: November 21, 1984

Years Skiing: 22 years. Started at 9 on the pond in Canada!

What is your favorite thing to do when you’re not skiing?

Surf, travel and coach up-and-coming athletes.

Name your favorite place skiing has taken you?

New Zealand. I went to coach one year, and within 24 hours of landing I was flying a plane for the first time over the coastline. Then I was sitting in a Nautique coaching 15 of the country’s top jumpers. I couldn’t ask for a better place to be! The people were amazing, the scenery was unreal, and after a week I was ready to stay!

Tell us an interesting fact that most people don’t know about you?

I grew up on a cattle farm in Canada. My dad convinced me that the cattle watering hole was a ski lake and that being a jumper was far more fun than being a farmer! I worked as hard as a farmer at skiing and never forgot where I came from.

What are the top three most played songs in your playlist?

I am all over the map. Sometimes I’m all zenned out. Other days it’s Hardcore Metal. Then I’ll be at the gym cranking some Electro to get the BPM up. On the way home from the gym I’ll be in the zone with some old school gangster rap.

Do you have a pre-run routine you do before contests for good luck?

I don’t do anything for good luck. I prepare to the point that I don’t need it, and yes, I do
prepare with a routine. It helps me feel at home all around the world.

What has been the biggest accomplishment of your career?

My first Masters win, and my recent World Championship Title are probably at a tie right now. Both mean a lot to me for different reasons, and I will never forget either of them.

If you could give someone one piece of advice; what would it be?

Dream big, map out a plan, work hard, and surround yourself with great people to help you along the way.
