BIRTHDAY December 15, 2002
HOMETOWN Dothan, Alabama
FAVORITE WARM-UP TRICK:
A floaty heelside indy backroll.
FAVORITE NAUTIQUE ATHLETE TO RIDE WITH:
My favorite Nautique athlete to ride with is Erika Lang. Erika and I got to be on Team USA together in 2019 for the Pan American Games in Lima, Peru. We formed a special bond on that trip, and I feel so blessed to call her my friend! I so admire her hard work, dedication, drive, and she is just a joy to be around.
EVENT YOU LOOK FORWARD TO EVERY YEAR:
The Masters Water Ski & Wakeboard Tournament in Callaway Gardens is the event I look forward to every single year! I had the privilege of competing in the Masters for my first time in 2019, and it was an immensely special moment for me and my family. As far back as I can remember, my dad told me that when he was younger he dreamed of going to Robin Lake to watch the Masters. I was so honored to be able to take him to Robin Lake, and I almost felt like I was giving back to him for the countless amount of time spent helping me achieve my goals. Every year that I am privileged of going to the Masters I am reminded of that special feeling.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING TO DO WHEN YOU’RE NOT RIDING?:
My FAVORITE thing to do when I’m not riding is spending time with my family! A good day out on the G23 foiling, wakesurfing, and floating out in the middle of the lake with some good country music playing is just one of my most favorite things ever... doesn’t get much better than that in my book.
THE MOST REWARDING PART OF YOUR JOB:
I would say the most rewarding part of my job is helping others. I strive to live by the phrase “We are blessed to be a blessing.” I have been so gifted with good people in my life who have helped me become who I am on and off the water. Without these people, I would not be where I am today. I want to be that person for as many people as I come in contact with. Whether it’s helping a little girl get up on a wakeboard for the first time or smiling at the cashier at the grocery store, I believe when we live to lift others up we find true meaning in what we do.
WHAT HAS BEEN THE BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENT OF YOUR CAREER?:
The biggest accomplishment of my career so far was winning the Masters in 2021. This was my first pro win, and it happened at the Masters on Robin Lake. I was so grateful to be able to share that moment with my family and my coach. Without their energy, effort, support, and love poured into me for the past 18 years I wouldn’t have been standing on that podium. Having them there just meant the world to me. They are always proud of me no matter the outcome, and for that I am truly grateful.
IF YOU COULD GIVE SOMEONE ONE PIECE OF ADVICE; WHAT WOULD IT BE?:
My best piece of advice for anyone — athlete or not is to run your own race and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. It can be so easy to get caught up in looking at others success and what others are doing. Remember that a win for someone else is not a loss for you. And that God has beautiful, purpose-filled, and unique plans just for you — don’t miss it looking at someone else’s. Keep the main thing the main thing and enjoy the process. That’s what it’s all about, folks!
